Subfamily Dendrothripinae

The Dendrothripinae is the smallest of the four subfamilies in the family Thripidae, and currently comprises 106 species in 12 genera (ThripsWiki, 2023). All are leaf feeding thrips, and their list of host plants ranges from ferns to Fig. Dendrothripines are not usually considered economically important pests, except a few species like Pseudodendrothrips mori (Niwa) and P. bhattii Kudo (Mound et al., 2014).
