Diagnosis

Female macroptera: Body yellowish brown with laterally shaded abdomen; head shaded between antennae; abdominal tergite I shaded; fore wing slightly dusky with base, sub-base and apex paler, clavus shaded. Head sculptured with transverse anastomosing striae throughout dorsally; ocellar setae III stout and situated between anterior inner margin of hind ocelli. Antennae 9- segmented, segments III and IV with forked sense cones. Pronotum with transverse anastomosing lines, small dots or wrinkles between lines, longitudinal brown patches medially and sub-laterally. Metanotum with longitudinal lines at middle and reticulate laterally with weak wrinkles between lines. Fore wing first vein with 7 setae, setae stout except a pale basal seta; clavus with 2+1 setae; posteromarginal cilia straight. Abdominal tergite I sculptured with longitudinally elongated reticulations between S1 setae, prominent wrinkles between reticulations; II–VII with a few microtrichia at posterior margin medially; VIII with a complete posteromarginal comb; IX with rows of microtrichia at posterior half, three pairs of setae near posterior margin; X with numerous microtrichia on posterior half.

Male macroptera: General structure very similar to female, but smaller and paler. Fore wing uniformly dusky.
