Banana. Larvae bore into the rhizome and form a network of tunnels and affected rhizomes have holes outside. Leaves of affected plants show yellowish streaks initially and gradually plants become weakened and flowering and fruiting are totally affected. All stages from planting to harvest are affected by the weevil.
