Habitat
Commonly found alone and also in association with many mealybugs.

Workers can be recognized by the following combination of characters: body chestnut-brown, shining, covered with long, reddish yellow hairs, slightly oblique on antennae and legs; mandibles finely and closely, head and thorax more or less widely, longitudinally striate; pedicel with two nodes, smooth or only slightly rugulose; abdomen polished and smooth.

Attends to mealybugs and scales.
