The larvae damage flower buds, flowers and developing pods and also web the inflorescences. The larvae are dull green or yellowish-white with four longitudinal rows of spots dorsally.
Pest status
Common, occasionally serious.
Natural enemies
Larvae are commonly parasitized by Bassus relativus (Bhat & Gupta) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae).
