Common name
Green weevil, gold-dust weevil
Habitat
Adults are variable in colour, typical form covered with glittering metallic green to blue-green scaling, dusted with orange powdering; or with Sexually dimorphic, with males covered with long, fine erect pubescence, which is absent in females.
Host plants
Polyphagous and feeds on several hosts.
Pest status
A minor and sporadic pest of agricultural crops (cotton, legumes, etc.) and forestry in some parts of India.
