Hosts / habitat
Commonly found on Ficus benjamina (Moraceae), an ornamental plant, as a leaf gall maker. Affected leaves become yellow and are folded up or rolled up from the edges into gall-like structures. As the leaf galls become older, other organisms like mealybugs, predatory thrips, etc. start inhabiting them along with G. uzeli.
