Insecta: Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Eulophidae
Habitat / Crop(s) damaged
Solanaceous vegetables such as chilli, bell peppers, and brinjal.

Infestation by cecidomyiids, G. asulcata and other eulophids and eurytomids is often noticed in chillies, bell pepper and brinjal. Goethella asulcata has been erroneously reported by some workers as a parasitoid of the gall midge.
