Field bean, pigeonpea, cowpea, and other pulses.

It is a specific pest of field bean although occasionally found on other leguminous crops. In severe cases, the weevils completely defoliate whole fields (Ramakrishna Ayyar, T.V. 1938. Handbook of Economic Entomology for South India).
