Guava, orange, lemon, sapota, banana, jamun, tomato, pumpkin, various gourds and other Cucurbitaceae, etc.

Congregations of B. diversa alone or in association with other fruit flies like B. dorsalis and B. zonata seen on undersides of leaves of guava and mango.
