Adults feed externally on the soft parts of plants and larvae feed internally and induce galls. Host plants include Capsicum sp., Indigofera tinctoris, Ipomoea nil, Parthenium sp., and Salvia sp., and Phaseolus vulgaris. Breeding and gall induction noticed mainly on Phaseolus vulgaris.
