Diagnosis

Female: Dorsal side yellow-orange, except abdomen brownish. Mandibles basally yellow. Mid coxa blackish. Forewing with linea calva interrupted by not more than two lines of setae. Antenna with six funicular segments, all longer than broad, F1 shorter than club, pedicel distinctly longer than half the length of F1. Mandibles bidentate.

Male: Similar to female, except antenna with whorls of hairs.

Commonly collected as a parasitoid of Coccidohystrix insolita (Green) on various solanaceous and other hosts.

Distribution

India: Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh. China. Madagascar (Hayat, 2006).

Hosts / Biology

Coccidohystrix insolita (Green) on several solanaceous hosts like brinjal, tomato, Physalis peruviana, etc. (Hayat, 2006).
