Diagnosis

Female: Length 3-9mm. Body pale brown to black, elongate, slender and gracile forms, often very large in size; head globose; eyes bare; scrobe absent; antenna with 12 segments, clava with 6-7 segments; pronotum clearly visible and notauli present; metasoma long, distinctly longer than mesosoma, tapering towards lower tip; fore wing with submarginal, marginal, stigmal and a long postmarginal vein (Rajmohana, 2006).

Distribution

India: Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Karnataka, West Bengal (Rajmohana, 2011), Tamil Nadu (Johnson, 2013), Andhra Pradesh, Pudhucherry (Mahalaksmi et al., 2012).

Biology and hosts

Parasitic in tettigonid eggs (Rajmohana, 2006).
