Nomenclature
Indothrips bhushani Bhatti, 1967: 2.
Diagnosis
Female macroptera: Body brown; forewing hyaline, pale veins, dark longitudinal band along posterior margin; forelegs pale yellow. Head strongly projected in front of eyes; 4–5 pairs of ocellar setae, two pairs arise within the ocellar triangle. Antennae 9 segmented with well developed stiff setae; segments III and IV each with a broad lens-shaped sense cone ventrally near apex. Pronotum having a transverse apodeme in posterior third, two pairs of posteroangular setae inserted slightly prior to posterior margin. Metanotum without median sculpture, median setae near posterior margin, campaniform sensilla absent. Abdominal tergite VIII with median comb of microtrichia; sternites with 4–6 pairs of marginal setae, arise ahead of the posterior margin; abdominal sternite VII with median marginal pair of setae arising on margin, with 2 pairs of accessory setae anterior to these, lateral marginal setae arising sub-marginally.
