Aeolothrips vespiformis Crawford, D.L., 1909: 109.

Diagnosis

Female macroptera: Body, legs and antennae brown, wasp like constricted waist, abdominal segments II–III yellow with brown anterior margins, X yellowish contrary to IX; forewing banded, brown with a small sub-basal pale area, a median broad pale area, a sub-apical pale area. Head broadly recessed into pronotal anterior margin. Antennae 9 segmented; segment III about 8 times as long as wide with an elongated sensory area made of irregular scallops. Metanotum without sculpture medially. Abdominal sternites IV–VI each with two pairs of marginal setae and two pairs of setae laterally on discal area.
