Nomenclature

Thrips hanifahi Mound & Azidah, 2009: 64.

Diagnosis

Female macroptera: Body, legs and antennae yellow. Head with small ocellar setae III, anterolateral to ocellar triangle; vertex and ocellar region with transverse lines. Antennae 7-segmented. Pronotum with small posteromarginal, posteroangular and discal setae. Metanotum reticulate, median setae far behind anterior margin, campaniform sensilla present. Forewing first vein with 7 basal setae, 3 distal setae. Abdominal tergite VIII with complete posteromarginal comb. Pleurotergites without discal setae; abdominal sternites III–VII with about 15 discal setae, II with about 3 discal setae.
