Diagnosis
Female macroptera: Body brown; forewing pale brown, clavus dark brown. Antennae 7 segmented, III–IV each with a forked sense cone. Head with ocellar pair III arising a little anterior to hind ocelli; postocular setae pair II as long as distance between hind ocelli. Pronotum having 2–3 pairs of posteromarginal setae. Metanotum with longitudinal striations, converging posteromedially; median setae arise behind anterior margin. Forewing first vein with 2–4 distal setae. Abdominal tergite VIII with a complete posteromarginal comb of irregular microtrichia. Abdominal sternites without discal setae, irregular, small dentate microtrichia on posterior margins.
Male macroptera: Similar to female but smaller; small, laterally pointing teeth on posterior margin of abdominal tergites II–VII, VIII with irregularly arranged small, laterally pointing teeth on posterior margin; abdominal sternites often bearing numerous discal microtrichia, irregular dentate microtrichia on posterior margin, III–VII with transverse pore glands.
