Nomenclature

Diagnosis

Female macroptera: Body black. Antennae 7 segmented, III–IV each with a forked sense cone. Head with ocellar setae III long, outside ocellar triangle; postocular setae in 2 rows, setae 2 placed far backwards, setae IV the longest. Pronotum trough shaped, 3 pairs of posteromarginal setae. Metanotum with longitudinal striations; median setae arising behind anterior margin. Banded forewing, apex pale, first vein with 6–7 proximal and 3 distal setae; second vein with 12–13 setae. Hind tibia with a row of 7 stout spines on inner side and one at median of posterior margin. Abdominal tergite VIII without posteromarginal comb. Abdominal sternites II–VII with 3 pairs of posteromarginal setae.

Male macroptera: Similar to female but smaller. Abdominal sternites II–VIII with 3 pairs of posteromarginal setae; III–VII with inverted U shaped pore glands.
