Diagnosis
Female macroptera: Body brownish yellow, head pale brown infused with yellow, pronotum pale brown, pterothorax pale brown, often paler laterally; abdomen darker than head and thorax, with brown patches on tergites; legs pale brownish yellow. Antennae 7-segmented. Ocellar setae III small, behind the first ocellus and within ocellar triangle; post ocular setae II smaller than I and III. Pronotum with faint transverse striations anteriorly and posteriorly; posterior margin with 3 pairs of setae inner to major angulars. Metanotum with longitudinal lines; median setae arising behind anterior margin; campaniform sensilla present. Fore wing slightly dusky with base paler; first vein with 7 proximal and 3 distal setae; second vein with 15–17 setae. Abdominal tergite II with 4 lateral marginal setae; posteromarginal comb on VIII long, fine and complete; IX with two pairs of campaniform sensilla, X with incomplete median split. Pleurotergites II – V with 1–2 discal setae. Sternites with no discal setae.
Male macroptera: Similar to female but smaller and uniformly yellow in colour. Posteriomarginal comb on tergite VIII absent. Abdominal sternites III–VII each with a transverse pore plate slightly contracted at middle.
