Rhipiphorothrips concoloratus Zhang and Tong 1993

Diagnosis

Male macroptera: Body and legs brown, tarsi yellow, fore tibiae brown, mid and hind tibiae brown, yellow basally, femora yellow basally, rest brown; antennal seg­ments I–VI yellow with brown apex, VI, VII–VIII brown; fore wing yellow infused brown, clavus brown. Antennae 8-segmented; III–IV each with forked sense cone, stalked base short. Pronotum round, rugose, with minute setae. Mesonotum fully divided lon­gitudinally; metanotal triangle strongly sculptured, with thick lateral margins, extending beyond posterior mar­gin. Fore wing apex round, posterior fringe cilia straight. Fore leg stout; tarsi 1-segmented. Abdom­inal tergites strongly sculptured except medially; tergite I sculptured but indistinctly sculptured medially; tergite X with a pair of small, fan shaped setae. Abdominal sternites III–VII each with a very small circular pore gland on postero median to the antecostal ridge.
