Diagnosis

Female macroptera: Body dark brown; forewing with yellowish brown base, clavus dark brown; legs yellow. Head strongly rugose, minute setae; antennae 8 segmented, III–IV with a simple sense cone. Pronotum rugose, major setae absent; metanotal triangle extends to half of metascutellum. Forewing anterior margin without setae and fringe cilia, posterior cilia straight, veinal setae minute. Abdominal tergite I reticulated, II–VII sculptured laterally, VII –VIII with a pair of stout posteromedian setae, postero median of IX–X with a pair of expanded setae.

Male macroptera: Sculpture and chaetotaxy similar to female but different in colour. Pronotum brown and abdomen yellow. Abdominal segment IV with a lateral tooth like process. Abdominal sternites III–VII each with an anteromedian circular pore gland.
