Diagnosis
- Head with apex truncated
- Mandibular plate nearly as long as clypeus
- Pronotum with anterolateral margins straight, and smooth, not reflexed
- Humeri nearly rounded to slightly angulate
- Metasternal carina with shallow longitudinal groove to receive labium
- Peritreme modified into peritremal ruga, distinctly extending beyond middle of metapleuron
- Distinct median longitudinal groove bordered with ridge-like thickening running across abdominal sternites III to VII and ending in short grooved projection on abdominal sternite III
Male genitalia
Dorsal rim of genital capsule deeply, widely and concavely excavated; median emargination on either side with small, brownish, sclerotized, cap-like dorsal sclerites; ventral rim deeply concave fringed with fine, moderately long setae throughout the ventral rim, median emargination with median concavity, moderately developed, set with few fine setae, visible well above ventral margin. Paramere. J-shaped; lateral margins of crown slightly callose, black and with fine teeth-like serrations. Phallotheca with one pair of conjunctival processes, membranous and apically incised; processes of aedeagus short, sclerotized, closely encircling aedeagus; aedeagus sclerotized, moderately bent upwards.
Female genitalia
Valvifers VIII roughly triangular; valvifers IX small, roughly trapezoidal; laterotergite IX finger-like with rounded apex and slightly convex outer margins, reaching or slightly surpassing apex of latertergite VIII. Spermatheca. Dilated part constricted to form two bulb-like dilation; apical receptacle small, spherical with two finger-like processes.

Comments
Recognised by the violet lateral margins of head and pronotum, pale levigate margin and black spots at basal angle of scutellum.
