Diagnosis

Female: Length 1.20-2.22mm. Head varying from pale orange to dark orange-brown; thorax and gaster varying generally from completely pale orange to completely dark orange-brown; scape and pedicel orange to testaceous; flagellum orange to dark brown; legs orange to orange mixed with dark brown; fore wings hyaline with three orange to dark brown fasciae, 3.5-5x as long as broad; hind wing completely hyaline or infuscate below submarginal vein.

Distribution

India: Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh (Hayat, 2006 & Noyes, 2013).

Hosts / Biology

Birendracoccus saccharifolii (Noyes & Hayat, 1994). Mostly recorded from material collected by sweeping grasses.
