Diagnosis

Female: Length 1.20-2.86 mm. Body completely dark brown or black; radicle dark brown; scape dark brown along dorsal and ventral margins, these areas connected subapically, remainder of scape whitish or yellowish; flagellum dark brown with basal quarter of F1 and basal two thirds or so of F2 yellow; tegulae entirely blackish; fore wings uniformly hyaline, about 3.5x as long as broad; legs with at least hind femora dark brown.

Distribution

India: Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal (Hayat, 2006; Noyes, 2013).

Hosts / Biology

Coccidohystrix insolita (Shamim & Shafee, 1984); Brevennia rehi on rice (Noyes & Hayat, 1994).
