Taxonomic position

Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Encyrtidae

Diagnosis

Female: Length 1.01-1.06mm. Body slightly dorsoventrally flattened; head orange with a dark mark connecting each eye to adjacent antennal torulus; scape white with a dark brown pattern on its outer face, inner face almost completely white except for dark brown border of ventral margin; pedicel whitish; F1 whitish with a slight dusky tinge; F2, F3, F6 and clava dark brown, F4 and F5 white; pronotum medially dark brown, its posterior margin white; mesoscutum and scutellum almost completely dark brown; sides and venter of thorax and legs whitish to pale yellow; fore wings hyaline but with a strong, very distinctive pattern of dark and pale setae; hind wings hyaline; gaster dorsally dark brown; scape broadened and flattened, about 2.5x as long as broad; all funicle segments subquadrate; ovipositor not exserted (Noyes and Hayat, 1984).
