Taxonomic position

Diagnosis

Female: Front vertex narrow, more than one-eighth of head width. Antenna with scape 2-2.25x as long as broad, funicle usually with basal two to five segments paler than distal segments.

Male: Similar to female except antenna with scape about 2.5x as long as broad, all funicle segments broader than long, club unsegmented.

Distribution

India: Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Punjab, Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh. Pakistan (Hayat, 2006).

Hosts / Biology

Nipaecoccus viridis (Newstead), Nipaecoccus spp., Coccus viridis (Green), Icerya formicarum and other mealybugs (Hayat, 2006).
