Elytra usually pinkish fawn or green with a slight metallic reflection and a well-defined pale lateral stripe of denser and thinner scaling; Antenna with scape reaching or exceeding the posterior margin of the eye at resting position and second joint of funicle not or scarcely longer than first, eyes convex and prominent; rostrum not or shallowly excised at the apex; general form more robust.

Sorghum, maize, sugarcane, finger millet, cotton, pulses, brinjal, crucifers, apple, indigo, ber, Casuarina mundicota, Copicauta spp., grasses and weeds; attracted to light.
