Diagnosis | : | Rostrum piceous, longer than its apical width, running parallel from base to antennal insertion and then dilated at apex; epistome small, steeply declivous anteriorly; lateral areas dull, covered with brown scales, each with a sulcus running from upper angle of scrobe to upper margin of eye; Antennae ferrugineous, long, with dense narrow white scales; funicle with joint 1 equal to 2; Prothorax transverse, with well-developed ocular lobes and long vibrissae, shallowly bisinuate base; Elytra piceous, oblong; Thoracic sterna piceous, punctate; Abdominal sternites piceous, covered with dense broadly-ovate white scales, punctate and each puncture beset with a white spathulate scale. |
