Diagnosis | : | Rostrum black, shorter than its basal width, gradually narrowing from base to apex; epistome moderately long, sharply carinate, forming an acute angle behind, not reaching a line between insertion of antennae; Antennae black, short, inserted behind middle of rostrum ; scape strongly curved in basal half, sub-cylindrical, gradually clavate, densely covered with fawn scales and pale recumbent setae; funicle with joint 1 longer than 2; Prothorax black, transversely and longitudinally convex; Elytra with numerous recumbent and brownish setae on each interval, with ground color black, covered with brownish scales, having a patch of pale scales on top of declivity of each elytron. |
