Diagnosis | : | Rostrum fuscus, much longer than broad, running parallel from base to scrobes and then strongly dilated at apex; epistome short, with margins sharply carinate, forming behind an obtuse angle not exceeding a line of insertion of antennae; Antennae moderately long, fuscus; funicle with joint 2 a little longer than 1, joints 1 and 2 with three to four whorls and remaining joints with one whorl of sub-erect setae; Prothorax fuscus, transverse, broadest at middle; anterior margin truncate, with well-developed ocular lobes and fine vibrissae laterally; Elytra fuscus, oblong-ovate, parallel sided from shoulders to beyond middle, narrowing towards apex; Legs fuscus, densely covered with pinkish and shining green scales as well as short setae; anterior and middle tibiae with a row of spines on their inner apical half; corbels of hind tibiae enclosed by an internal row of bristles. |
