Diagnosis	:	Elytra with conspicuous white spots (occasionally reduced to two basal ones only â€“ subsp. olivieri). Central costae on head not produced behind eye; eye brows low. Elytra ovate and its basal margin faintly sinuate; predominant vestiture obovate or somewhat triangular.
