Diagnosis	:	Frons with a rounded median longitudinal impression; only slightly narrower than the space between the scrobes. Hind femur bidentate, with a small, second tooth. Elytral vestiture with scales on the intervals more oval than circular.
Host	:	Rice, jute, groundnut, castor, linseed, sunflower, sweet potato, snake gourd, lab-lab, okra, lemon, mango, guava, papaya, white sapota, fig, peach, cocoa, tea, rose, indigo, plumbago, sesbania, teak, eucalyptus, acalypha, Proba anatha. lantana, low vegetation, mountain shrub; also attracted to light.
Distribution	:	Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu.
