Taxonomic position

Diagnosis

Length 2.5 mm. Body dark green black; antennae with scape and pedicel and anelli clear yellow, flagellum reddish brown; F1 longer than pedicel; all funicle segments longer than wide except F6 subquadrate, funicular segments gradually becoming shorter; clava slightly longer than two preceeding segments combined. Antennae inserted slightly below middle of face, scape reaching upper margin of median ocellus. Head finely reticulate. Pronotum distinctly carinate. Mesoscutum and scutellum reticulate punctuate. Propodeum with median area little raised along median line. Metasoma (excluding petiole) not longer than mesosoma. Metasoma finely reticulate; hind margin of T1 slightly projecting; T2 large, half as long as body of metasoma.

Distribution

India: Kerala.

Biology / Hosts

Pupae of Agromyza sp. mining stems of Hibiscus esculentus and Ophiomyia phaseoli (Tryon) on beans (Sureshan, 2003).
