Taxonomic position

Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Pteromalidae: Miscogastrinae

Diagnosis

Antenna with 2 anelli and six funicular segments, inserted low on head, the lower edge of toruli level at or slightly below ventral edge of eyes. Fore wing with post marginal vein shorter than marginal vein; the latter 2-3.5 times as long as stigmal vein. Propodeum weakly sculptured/reticulate. Metasoma petiolated.

Distribution

Only two species are known from Indian subcontinent - H. propinqua (Waterston, 1915) from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and H. agaliensis Sureshan (2003) from India.
