Nomenclature
Omyomymar Schauff, 1983: 544. Type species: Paranaphodiea silvana Ogloblin, by original designation.
Diagnosis
Omyomymar belongs to the Anagrus group of genera and can be differentiated by the following characters.
- Female antenna (Fig. 6) with funicle 6-segmented, clava 2-segmented and sometimes with a variable distinct nipple like process at apex of second segment
- Fore wing (Fig. 7) narrow and somewhat pointed apically, with one or two parallel lines of microtrichia on membrane beyond venation extending to uniformly setose apical part of wing
- Mesophragma widely and deeply notched at apex and not projecting into gaster
- Ovipositor at most exserted (for almost length of metasoma) beyond apex of metasoma (Fig. 8) and sheaths with one subapical seta each
Geographic Distribution
Worldwide, except western Palaearctic region (Lin et al., 2008).
