Nomenclature

Himopolynema Taguchi, 1977: 137. Type species: Himopolynema hishimonus Taguchi, by original designation.

Diagnosis

Himopolynema belongs to the Polynema group genera and can be identified by the following characters.

Geographic Distribution

Eastern Palaearctic, Oriental, Australian regions (Lin et al., 2008).

Hosts and habitat

Known hosts belong to Cicadellidae (Lin et al., 2007), Deltocephalinae (Cicadellidae) (Hayat and Anis, 1999) and Machaerotidae (Noyes, 2013).
