Hosts / Biology

Most species of Megastigmus are phytophagous and form galls, but a few species are known to be parasitic on other gall formers. This species is associated with galls formed by the eucalyptus gall wasp, Leptocybe invasa Fisher & La Salle. Another species, M. dharwadicus Narendran and Vastrad, has also been recorded as an important parasitoid of L. invasa in some parts of Karnataka.
