Diagnosis
Female: Length 1.8-2.2 mm. Head yellowish-brown except occipital margin of vertex which is outlined with blackish-brown; genal setae dark, those on remainder of head mostly pale; antenna with radicle and scape a little paler than head, more or less straw coloured, scape darkly suffused on dorsal aspect of apex; remainder of antenna with inner and outer aspects differently coloured; outer aspect with pedicel and basal three or four funicle segments of flagellum blackish brown; inner aspect with pedicel and entire flagellum blackish brown; thoracic dorsum and propodeum predominantly yellowish brown with following areas dark brown to blackish brown; pronotal collar, mesoscutum medially, apices of tegulae, declivous posterior aspect of axillae, metanotum and propodeum narrowly medially; sides of thorax with pronotum, prepectus and mesopleuron anteriorly yellowish brown, mesopleuron otherwise dark brown; setation of mesoscutum appearing mostly silvery or white; setae or horizontal surface of axillae blackish; basal half or so of scutellum with fine recumbent white setae; scutellar tuft and other coarse semi-erect setae on apical half of disc blackish; venter of thorax with prosternum blackish brown, mesosternum yellowish brown; gaster blackish; fore leg with coxa and basal one half or more of femur white, remainder of femur, tibia and tarsus a little darker, pale yellowish brown; middle leg with coxa blackish brown, femur largely whitish with a large blackish brown suffusion of dorsal aspect near distal end, tibia and tarsus pale yellowish brown; hind leg with coxa white, femur yellowish brown with dorsal margin and upper part of inner aspect and apex broadly and darkly suffused, tibia blackish brown. Head about 2.5x as wide as vertex at median ocellus; antenna with scape longer than basal three funicle segments combined, pedicel about equal in length to basal funicle segment (Prinsloo, 1991).

Unknown. Ex. Saissetia sp. on croton plant.
