Taxonomic position

Diagnosis

Female: Dorsal side with head and mesosoma yellowish, compound eyes green with blackish setae; gaster yellow, anterior tergites medially greyish. Antenna with apical half of scape with a continuous brown stripe, funicle testaceous yellow, club darker brown. Fore wings with a pattern of pale and darker setae. Ventral surface of costal cell with at least two lines of setae, occasionally the line nearest submarginal vein a little interrupted medially.

Distribution

India: Goa, Karnataka. Sri Lanka (Hayat, 2006).

Hosts / Biology

Recorded hosts include Ferrisia virgata on lantana and coffee; mealybugs on guava and croton; Ceroplastes actiniformis on mango (Hayat, 2006). Associated with papaya mealybug, Paracoccus marginatus.
