Taxonomy

Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Chalcididae: Haltichellinae

Diagnosis

Frons without any carina, if fine carinae present then they do not turn mesad dorsally behind front ocellus (Fig. 4).
Base of first tergite of gaster with or without carina at base; first tergite more or less convex and sloping forward.
Male first funicular segment distinctly curved and with short curved hairs as on following segments.

Biology / Hosts

Parasitizes pupae of various small to middle sized Lepidoptera, e.g. Tortricidae, Pyralidae, Psychidae, Yponomeutidae, Zygaenidae and Strepsiptera (free living).

Distribution

Europe, Asia, Africa, America, Australia and New Guinea (Bouček, 1988).
