For X. pubescens: Has been widely confounded in the literature with X. aestuans and other related species. Further studies are needed to clarify the biogeographic limits of those and other similar forms, and to assess the status of populations of X. pubescens reported from southern India in comparison to notably disjunct populations from the type locality of Egypt. Females are likely to be confused in collections with those of X. hafizii.
