For X. latipes: Has been reported from southern India (e.g., Prashantha & Belavadi, 2017) based on misinterpretation of characters in the identification key of Moure and Hurd (1963), but we have verified X. latipes as occurring in Northeast India. Putative X. latipes from west or south of Sikkim and northern West Bengal examined by us proved to be X. tenuiscapa.
